Like you, we are raising capital for our startup, so we know pitching investors can create anxiety and takes a ton of preparation and know-how.
We want to help you put your best foot forward and increase your chances of getting to yes, so we are starting a series of regular pitch practices with experienced investors to give you the feedback you need before you head out into the wild to pitch.
We are excited to kick things off with the homey, Anastasia Simon, Techstars Atlanta's Investment Principal. Anastasia views hundreds of pitches every year and invests millions of dollars annually on behalf of Techstars, so she knows what she is talking about.
Pitch sessions will be held inside our free community starting February 13th at 11:30 am ET. Even if you don't want to practice your pitch but want to get into the Techstars Atlanta program, you should show up and meet Anastasia because, like I always say, investors invest in lines, not dots.
Here's what you need to do for a chance to practice your pitch with Anastasia:
Join our free community and RSVP for the pitch event under the events tab
Complete this Typeform to let us know you would like to pitch.
Five founders will be randomly selected to pitch for 5-7 minutes. If you are selected, please show up for your slot.
If you're not pitching, there will also be time for you to ask the founders or Anastasia questions. This will be a valuable experience for you if you are currently aspiring to pitch investors.
That's it!
Applications to pitch will close on February 6th. Once you apply, we'll send you some tips and tools to help improve your pitch, too. 💣
We look forward to seeing you on February 13th!
